An official anime series for the hit action RPG Wuthering Waves is on the way. Titled Wuthering Waves: Elysium, the project was revealed via a teaser trailer by Kuro Onroad, the developer's new in-house animation brand. The action-packed preview features the game's high-fidelity 3D models battling monstrous Tacet Discords alongside serene, beachside imagery.
Unlike standard adaptations, leaks suggest the anime will utilize a 5-part character anthology format. Narrated by Cartethyia, the episodes will follow different Resonators after the Rover's departure. Production rumors claim that keeping the animation in-house allows Kuro to reuse game assets, slashing budgets and bypassing lengthy traditional illustration schedules to beat rival projects to release.
While hints point to the anime debuting future cyberpunk regions, Kuro quickly issued a legal warning to debunk false rumors that sci-fi author Liu Cixin had joined the writing team.
