Steve's pink wool house from the Minecraft movie can finally be recreated in vanilla gameplay without jagged edges. Minecraft snapshot/preview updates have introduced wool stairs, slabs, and cushions in all 16 colors, allowing builders to create smooth arches, angled roofs, and soft furniture.
Previously, using full wool blocks left curved and sloping sections looking blocky. Now, wool stairs provide gradual slopes while keeping original textures, and wool slabs allow for half-block height adjustments—perfect for precise details around windows and roofs. Both variants also retain wool's vibration-dampening traits.
The update also adds craftable cushions made from matching wool slabs. Players can sit on these cushions, which have no collision and can overlap surrounding blocks. These additions allow players to easily build Steve's home and design custom couches, curved tents, and layered carpets in survival mode.
