Solo Leveling: Beyond the System has been officially announced at Anime Expo 2026 as a theatrical anime film co-produced by Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C Media, and Kakao Piccoma. Studio A-1 Pictures returns to animate the project under director Tao Tajima, who also handles cinematography, editing, and color, alongside returning character designer Tomoko Sudo.
Serving as a direct sequel to Season 2, the film picks up after Jinwoo's raid on Jeju Island. The title references the iconic Double Dungeon Arc, where Jinwoo returns to Cartenon Temple to confront the truth behind the System. An unveiled key visual showcases Jinwoo with a blazing blue aura, hinting at power that surpasses the System itself.
While no official release date has been locked in, fans widely anticipate a 2027 theatrical premiere. As Crunchyroll's most-watched anime of all time, this big-screen continuation marks a massive milestone for the franchise.
