Pringles is turning its iconic cans into hot dog bun packs

Pringles has launched a highly unconventional product called Pringles Pop Dog Buns—potato-based hot dog buns packed directly into the brand's iconic cylindrical can. Dropping just in time for National Hot Dog Day, this limited-edition release reimagines traditional backyard barbecue fare by infusing the unique dough with Pringles' signature seasoning profiles.

The innovative buns are available in three fan-favorite flavors: Sour Cream & Onion, BBQ, and Honey Mustard. To make the packaging work, each individual bun is engineered to be roughly 7.5 inches long, allowing them to slide seamlessly into the stacked can formation that consumers associate with the classic potato chips.

Departing from the fluffy texture of standard standard white bread, these potato-based buns are much denser, resembling a hearty sandwich roll with a slightly moist crumb and a glossy, pretzel-like outer skin. Fast-acting fans won't find these on traditional grocery store shelves; instead, Pringles is distributing them as a free promotional item with the purchase of a Pringles Three-Pack exclusively through their official website and social media shops on Instagram and Facebook.
