Nintendogs Case Hides Authentic $150 Pokémon HeartGold Cartridge

A viral post by @tsubasasleftnut revealed a lucky find at a recent convention. After purchasing a used copy of "Nintendogs" for just $20, the buyer opened the case to find an authentic Nintendo DS cartridge of "Pokémon HeartGold" tucked inside instead. 

The accidental swap proved to be a lucrative mistake, as loose copies of "Pokémon HeartGold" currently command around $150 on the secondhand market. The vendor likely placed the wrong cartridge inside the case or mislabeled the item, turning a standard $20 budget purchase into an incredible collector's bargain.

To verify the discovery, the buyer inserted the cartridge into a Nintendo DS, sharing follow-up photos and video. The game successfully booted past the Game Freak logo straight to the "Pokémon HeartGold" title screen, proving the cartridge was authentic and cementing the ultimate convention jackpot.
