Sony Pictures Animation and Amazon MGM Studios have announced a fifth franchise installment, "The Haunting of Hotel Transylvania," scheduled for a theatrical release on October 8, 2027. This marks the Drac Pack's return to cinemas after 2022's "Transformania" skipped theaters for a Prime Video debut.
The plot follows Dracula into retirement, leaving Mavis in charge of the resort. When spooky, unexplained occurrences begin terrifying the guests, the Drac Pack must reunite to solve the mystery of the haunting.
Jennifer Kluska and Alan Hawkins will direct, with franchise creator Genndy Tartakovsky and Michelle Murdocca executive producing, and Lawrence Jonas producing. Sony Pictures will handle the North American theatrical release, while Amazon MGM Studios will oversee distribution in select international markets (including the UK, France, Germany, and Brazil). Sony will handle the remaining global markets.
