Big Red Farm has indefinitely suspended weekend and holiday public visits to the beloved racing and Umamusume icon Gold Ship, effective July 11.
The decision stems directly from his immense popularity. The Hokkaido-based farm explained that surging visitor numbers have caused severe overcrowding and parking strain. It emphasized that Big Red Farm is a functional breeding operation, not a tourist destination, and lacks the staff to safely manage massive fan crowds alongside its daily agricultural work.
While apologizing to fans and warning that further closures could happen if weekday crowds spike, the farm confirmed that weekday visits remain unaffected. Fans can still meet the famous Grade 1 winner in person Monday through Friday.
