Anne Hathaway had nothing but love for her on screen son Tom Holland while promoting The Odyssey

In an interview with eTalk, Anne Hathaway reflected on playing Penelope, mother to Tom Holland's Telemachus, saying she hopes her real-life children grow up to be as wonderful as her on-screen son, calling Holland "a dream." The comment carries extra warmth given that Hathaway is currently pregnant with her third child.

The affection clearly runs both ways. Holland admits he felt intimidated walking onto a Christopher Nolan set, but credited Hathaway as his lifeline, noting they became close friends and calling her the "wind in his sails." Hathaway echoed this, describing their dynamic as grounded in genuine appreciation and respect despite the massive scale of the production.

In Nolan's IMAX epic, Hathaway stars as Penelope opposite Matt Damon's Odysseus, with Holland playing their son. This genuine off-screen bond is bound to translate to powerful chemistry when The Odyssey hits theaters on July 17.
